Tom McCarthy holds a BA in Economics and an MBA from University College Cork. He is Managing Director of McCarthy Developments (cork) Ltd.
McCarthy Developments (cork) Ltd. is a privately owned, expanding property development company that is opportunity-led.
The Company’s main focus is on the residential, commercial and leisure sectors within excess of €500 Million in projects currently at either the design, planning or construction stage.
Current projects include:

- A 90 unit development of Luxury Holiday Homes at Sheen Falls in Kenmare in a Country Club setting linked to the world renowned 5 star Sheen Falls Lodge.

Tom is the Past President of the MBA Association of Ireland. He established the Cork Chapter of the Association in 1996 and was elected President of the MBA Association in 2002. He has organised and initiated a number of “Leadership” conferences held in
Tom is married with one son and one daughter, and he is the third generation of the family to enter the property business. He is a keen golfer and also takes an active interest in rugby having previously played for both Dolphin and University College Cork.
